The awarding ceremony of the International Music Award «Alfa Jazz Fest Awards» dedicated to Eddie Rosner is annually held during the festival in Lviv.

Pat Metheny became a winner of International music award “Alfa Jazz Fest Awards 2016”. 

In 2015 Award was presented to Herbie Hancock, in 2014 - to Charles Lloyd, in 2013 - to Charlie Haden, in 2012 - to John McLaughlin.

Sonny Rollins

American jazz saxophonist and composer, widely recognized as one of the most important and influential musicians of the 20th century, acted in association with Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk and many other great musical reformers. Sonny Rollins received numerous awards including 3 Grammy Awards for the Best jazz album, the Best instrumental jazz solo and awards for the life achievements. In 2009 Rollins was awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art, First Class, one of the most important award.

Chick Corea

American jazz pianist and composer, one of the most jazz prominent person since the late 60s. He is the author of famous jazz standards like "Spain," "La Fiesta" and "Windows." Chick Corea is also famous as a brilliant keyboard performer and a cofounder of such fusion bands as Return To Forever, Chick Corea Elektric Band, Origin. Chick Corea is 22-time Grammy winner.

John Scofield

Famous American jazz guitarist and composer, setting trends of jazz musical story since the 70s. John Scofield is a virtuosic improviser of various styles like post-bop, soul jazz, fusion and R & B. He has played and collaborated with Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Charlie Haden, Tony Williams, Jim Hall, Ron Carter and other jazz legendary artists.

Wayne Shorter

American jazz tenor and soprano saxophonist, composer. One of members of the legendary Jazz Messengers, the Art Blakey's band in the 50s, and Miles Davis Quintet in the 60s. In 70s he founded the fusion band Weather Report. He is the winner of numerous awards including 7 Grammy. According to musical observers of the New York Times, Shorter is the most remarkable recent jazz composer and improviser.

Kenny Barron

American jazz pianist. According to Jazz Weekly, he is the “most lyrical pianist of our time”. He played with Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Stan Getz. He is the initial and constant member of Sphere quartet, performing Thelonious Monk’s music. Kenny Barron has been nominated nine times for Grammy Awards.

Keith Jarrett

American jazz and classical pianist, composer. He started his career in the 60s with Art Blakey’s band Jazz Messengers, moving on to play with Charles Lloyd’s band and with Miles Davis in the 70s. He became famous mainly due to solo performance and playing with Trio Standards in association with Gary Peacock and Jack de Johnette. He is one of the most remarkable and expressional jazz pianist for the last 50 years.

Ron Carter

One of the most popular and recognized jazz bassist. He appeared in recording of over 2,000 albums. He played with Tommy Flanagan, Gil Evans, Bill Evans, B.B. King and other legendary musicians. He was a member of the Miles Davis Quintet in 1960s. He won Grammy awards in 1993 and 1998.

Stanley Clarke

Four-time Grammy Award winner Stanley Clarke is one of the most famous bass players in the world. He is a musician, studio musician, composer, conductor, arranger, producer and also writes music for the films. For more than 40 years of career Stanley Clarke as a virtuoso bassist has reached the status of "living legend."

Cuban pianist, composer and arranger Chucho Valdes is one of the most influential figures in contemporary Afro-Cuban jazz. He is five-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Latin Grammy Award winner. Chucho Valdes is a founder of the most famous latin jazz band "Irakere".

Quincy Jones - impresario, composer, producer, musician, arranger, conductor, magazine founder, multimedia media producer. During the six decades of his career he has been nominated for Grammy Award for 79 times and received 27 Grammys. The owner of a huge number of prizes and awards. Quincy Jones has worked with a large number of great musicians, including Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson (producer of the album "Off the Wall", "Thriller" and "Bad").
